Get Alta Tactical AltaLok Contour Knee Pads

Best knee/elbow pads, It worth it's price.

If I could post a picture I would but there is no option for amazon.One month ago, I bought a pair of A-TACS color Alta ultra-flex(it seems contour on amazon but ultra-flex on paper label) elbow pads & knee pads at south korea local shop for guam tour and reserve force training per year.Rent a scooter to driving entire guam island then heading to steep and slippy south region.After few hours later I got crashed nearby umatac town but survived then able to stand up again - At that moment, 40~45miles.ACH - advanced combat helmet with pads & gopro 3 camera plastic case saved my head. It absorb most blunt force.Soft rubber type cap can be pros and cons but it work perfect for my situation, It absorb most impact force when I was pinned by my scooter weight.As product ads, It work perfect in time also driving term.(6hours+@ per day, 28~31C, 60~80% humidity condition also I sweat a lot under tropical evironment)1. Biomechanically-designed, offers great knee motion and comfortable fit2. Soft rubber cap is skid-resistant and provides protection and flexibility3. Non-Slip Rubber Strip on back to hold comfortably in place4. The knee pads are light and comfortable. It is easy to forget that you have them on. I highly recommend them.

Could have been great

Great knee pad BUT! One of the two pads straps does not hold tight and the pad slips just like the $3.00 pads do. I could have saved $45.00. No mater how great the pad is, if it does not cover the knee it's not much good.

so far so good

wife and I use these doing tactical fighting carbine and pistol drills and often go kneeling and prone. these things save our knees and feel great when adjusted and stay on comfortably. so far build quality is great. if your shooting without moving, you are not training. so get some knee protection and get after it.

Not the best from Alta

I have other pairs of knee pads by Alta that are much better quality. I bought these because I thought the design would prevent the most common problem with knee pads - slipping around the knee and leg. They do hold position better, BUT they are very hard to fasten and the the inner portion of the straps are elastic which are a real pain to pull up over your leg and pants, so I cut them off. Based on my limited use of them so far, I doubt they will last very long. I do not recommend.
