Worked a charm! No filing or smoothing necessary, just simply slipped off the old retainer and slipped this on on. Less than a minute and good to go! Seems stout enough so I expect no issues.

So getting a sling that could be attached to my gun was a well needed accessory at this point. I have to say now it does mean a lot to me because it's given me the ability to carry the gun hands free so I can easily use my hands for other things. And it makes it feel like the gun doesn't get quite so heavy on the walk. I can't wait to get a few more sets for my husband and kids so we can all enjoy the "lightened" load. I installed this on a Palmetto Freedom mil-spec AR15. ...

I installed this on a Palmetto Freedom mil-spec AR15. I found that the ring is about 1/6" wider (hence taller when installed) than the one I removed. Once in place, I could no longer pull the charging handle back as it hit the top of this adapter. I was able to use a flat file and file off the top section to make it flat and low enough to miss the charging handle. Don't know why there is such a tight clearance between the top of the plate and bottom of the charging handle on my rifle, or how it compares to other ARs. Oh, and be careful when removing the old plate - there is a small spring under it that presses against the rear takedown pin. When you turn the buffer tube a bit to start unscrewing it from the lower receiver, that spring will pop out - and it is hard to find.

This has to be one of the best add ons for my Ar that I ever purchased. The price was half what most vendors wanted for the single point adaptor. When I watched the you tube video that came along with it, installation was easy . I highly recommend this product and the seller , five plus stars .

Installed this adapter to my SigSauer MP400 AR Pistol. Had to very slightly grind down the protrusion (in the inner of the ring ridge) a bit to get it through buffer tube. Used a half round metal file to get the job done.Else, the install went well and I now have an ambi sling mount for a good price. I would recommend this product.
