Great Train Set

We bought this train to replace our broken train set for under the christmas tree. We were absolutely delighted to find it on sale on Amazon for $55 and it looks perfect under the tree. It was easy to put together and big enough to go around the tree. My 2 1/2 year old son was very excited by all the lights and sounds. This was our first Trackmaster set and we are not disappointed! I love the fact that you can turn off the sounds, our old train set did not have that option and it drove me nuts!

A Big Hit with Thomas Fans!

We purchased this set for our two boys (ages 4 and 7,) who both love Thomas. They have really gotten into TrackMaster this year. Prior to TrackMaster, they enjoyed the wooden and take along trains. What is so awesome about this set, is the beautiful lights and music! The set is pretty large, too. It is roomy enough to go around a standard size tree, but we aren't using it for that purpose because the boys wouldn't be able to play all around it. The boys enjoy loading and unloading the presents from the freight car. The ice skaters also add a nice touch. This is something that is just a little extra special from their other TrackMaster sets and can be enjoyed by the entire family! A breeze to assemble. You do have to apply stickers and it requires several AA batteries (around 10 or so,)so be sure to have them on hand. We are very pleased and would recommend this to any little Thomas fan!

Nice Train

I was alittle worried about buying this because it does cost alot, but my child is 15 month and loves it. I was worried he would break it but he loves watching thomas go around the tree. He has dragged the train all over the place and dropped it and pulled it apart and it has not broken at all. So i would have to say the quality is good or he would have broke it 5 min after i put it together. This is a great for under the tree and your child can play with it later as well.

Not So Merry Christmas!

I am writing this to warn parents. My child wanted this desperately for Christmas and so we purchased it despite the HIGH pricetag. Needless to say he was overjoyed and the toy worked as it should have for the Christmas period. However, it has just been taken out again and it will not work as it should. I have changed all the batteries. I have checked for loose parts, fluff in the mechanism... Everything! Obviously, the toy is still usable but to a child who has seen it work one way, it is frustrating when it has to be used another. For a parent who paid an inflated price for some plastic track and three "working mechanisms" it is infuriating!!

Wasn't what I excepted but my 2 year old likes it!

I thought it would be a little extra than it was. Thomas has to stop to make the skaters spin with his wheels they do not spin own their own.The demo is a cartoon and now I can so see why, it looks to magical in the video but it is no more than a Christmas Track Maters toy. And the Christmas tune isn't much either, Santa/Sir Topem Hat says a little phase then a short turn plays.My son who is 2 likes it. It is cute but I see so many ways it could be better for the money! It shipped super fast! I received it in less 48 hours! If your child likes Thomas Track Masters I think they will love this one for sure! My son likes wooden tracks better, and I ordered this because the demo looked so magical, but it isn't!
