Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature 9 fl oz Feeding Bottles (3 Count) With Closer to Nature Bottles, switching between breast and bottle feeding becomes easier than ever before. Closer to Nature’s range of Bisphenol A free (BPA) baby bottles are designed to promote content and easy feeding times for parents and baby. We have designed the unique, easy-latch-on nipple shape with breastfeeding experts to mimic the natural flex, stretch and movement of mom’s breast. Together with the bottle’s super-sensitive Easi-Vent valve, this encourages your baby’s intuitive feeding action for comfortable, relaxed feeding.
Revolutionary Nipple Revolutionary nipple developed with breastfeeding experts and Mums to mimic the breast's natural flex, stretch and movement, Closer to Nature Bottles makes feeding time easier for Mum and Baby. The soft silicone nipple feels like skin, and gently elongates and flexes during feeding to mimic natural breastfeeding action. Super Sensitive Easi-Vent Valve The slow flow nipple with a super sensitive valve eliminates excessive air flow, so little ones ingest more milk and less air. Breast-like Shaped Nipple The soft silicone nipple feels like skin, and gently flexes during feeding to mimic natural breastfeeding action. The breast-like shaped nipple allows baby to latch on easily and further supports the transition between bottle and breast. 3-way Compact Shape The compact shape of Closer to Nature bottles allows baby to feed in a natural position and to be closer to Mom or Dad. The easy hold bottle can be held in 3 ways—cradled comfortably in the hand, gripped in the same way as a traditional wide neck bottle, or held from the base—making feeding comfortable for everyone. Easy to Clean & Use Closer to Nature bottles and nipples are easy to clean and fill. They are microwave and dishwasher safe, yet light and easy to hold. The easy hold bottle is marked in millimetres and ounces and has a hygiene seal cap to keep germs out and drips in. 5 out of 5 stars JUST LIKE BREASTFEEDING!!!!!!!!!!

My one week old baby can barely tell the difference between this bottle and the breast. He refused every other bottle out there (or they made him gag, get gas, etc). He never struggled with this bottle in the slightest. He absolutely loves it. I am trying to build up my milk supply and needed a bottle that would allow such a tiny infant to switch back and forth from breast to bottle without confusion or refusing one or other other. This bottle is a DREAM! I've had 5 children before this baby and both breast-fed and bottle-fed all of them and have tried out many other bottles in the process. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING COMPARES TO THIS BOTTLE!!! It's simply amazing!

5 out of 5 stars I am more than a little in love with Tommee Toppee

First and foremost, these are 3 for $20 elsewhere. The price here is much too high. Buy these bottles, but don't do it here. Now, onto the review. These are awesome. So awesome. Tommee Tippee figured out how to make a breathable bottle without too many parts. There are only three here. Bottle, nipple, nipple ring. No gaskets, no extra pieces, just a bottle with the same number of parts as the simple, non-breathable ones. Awesome!!Let's talk about the valve. It lets air in, so that the nipple doesn't collapse, causing you to have to take a break from feeding to let it come back to its normal shape. It lets air out so that your baby doesn't swallow it and get fussy. Awesome! There's a caveat here though. Every now and then, the valve will get stuck. If you notice the nipple collapsing, simply squeeze the valve. It'll pop right open. That's all you have to do.It's a big bottle, holding 9 ounces. It doesn't feel like a big bottle though. It's wide and short. It fits right in the diaper bag. It's shaped to fit your hand, and your baby's hands easily, so holding it is quite comfortable.Cleaning! Because of its wide mouth, the bottle is easier to clean than most. Even the bulkier bottle wands fit easily in this. It's curved all over, so there are no sharp corners for formula or milk to hide in. If you've ever spent far too long trying to clean dried formula from the corner of a bottle, you know that this is a big plus. And now, for the biggest pro of all. These: Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Formula Dispensers . (Again, buy them elsewhere. They're $4.99 in other places).Read more ›

5 out of 5 stars Great bottle if your baby is a breast fed baby with bottle feeding on the side

I've had no problems with this bottle. It never inverts when my daughter sucks on it. But she was also almost exclusively breast fed with only 2-3 bottles given to her per week up until she was 12 weeks old. I then had to return to work and needed a bottle that would work for her while I was gone for most of the day but still keep her from learning to suck improperly on my nipple when I breast fed her at nights and on weekends.I think that the issue people are having is if you change from a harder nipple to this softer nipple or if your baby was never breast fed in the first place. This bottle is meant to mimic the breast, but if your baby isn't breast fed most of the time, then what's the point? The softer nipple, in my opinion, is more like a real nipple, but if you aren't breast feeding your baby then your baby doesn't care. I think these bottles are more benificial to moms who mostly breast feed so that when they bottle feed, the baby doesn't learn to suck improperly and in turn hurt mom's nipple when she goes back to the breast.Baby's suck differently to feed from a bottle or to feed from a breast. I think this bottle is designed to accomidate babies that are used to sucking from a breast and are experienced at it. Newborns can still have issues with not latching properly because they are learning as well. Breast fed babies suck more deeply as they are used to having to take the full nipple and areola in. I think they are also a lot easier on the nipple part of the bottle as well. Bottle fed only babies never have to learn to latch properly to a nipple, because they don't have a mom in pain on the other end forcing them to latch correctly so they will often times put pressure directly on the nipple possiblly causing collapse to a soft nipple.Read more ›

5 out of 5 stars I've tried them all...

I have in my cupboard: Tommee Tippee, Playtex Ventaire, Phillips Avent, and the new Similac brand bottles. I also tried Dr. Browns with my firstborn, but Hated them. I will preface that my babies were exclusively bottle fed, so there is no breast to bottle compatibility issues here. Also, none of the bottles had leaking issues- the following comparisons are on a 'all else being equal' basis.Tommee Tippee: Only 3 pieces. The thing I didn't like, is they are short and squat shaped, so I can't balance the bottle with my chin during a feeding if I need to free up a hand briefly.Playtex Ventaire: 5 pieces. My only complaint is that the neck is very narrow, so every time I make a bottle, I spill powered formula all over the counter. I believe they make a wide mouth version though.Phillips Avent: 4 pieces. There are so many measurement ticks, that it is too hard to read. There are tick marks for mL, UK oz, and US oz. And between each whole ounce mark is a sideways teardrop shape marking, but the rounded fat side of this is about 3 millimeters in size, so where the heck am I supposed to fill to- the top or bottom of this round shape?Dr. Browns: 7 pieces. Two of these pieces need to be cleaned with a pipe cleaner so they are absolutely not dishwasher friendly. Biggest complaint- the measurements are not in marked in paint, they are clear raised up bumps. Imagine stumbling to the kitchen at 3am with your eyes half shut and trying to measure a bottle by tiny texture bumps only!Similac: 3-4 pieces. The stir stick part is optional. In my opinion, the perfect bottle. Ergonomic shape, clearly labeled measurement ticks, wide neck... works perfect for me.As I mentioned, I did not have any trouble with leaking. I also didn't have trouble with my baby not latching properly or not liking any of these. This review is pretty much strictly from a comparison of the design standpoint.
