Differences Between Sft & Nxt Shockers

SFT and NXT Shockers paintball markers advanced electropneumatic technology.

The Surprise SFT and NXT are electropneumatic paintball markers made by Small Parts Corporation. These markers use high-pressure air (HPA) or CO2 gas to propel the paintballs, and pneumatic solenoids to function the movement from the bolt and hammer. The evolution of electropneumatic markers like the Surprise series enabled considerably faster feeding of paintballs and shorter firing cycles than previous pump models. Introduced in 2003, the SFT includes a feeding rate in excess of 20 balls per second. It fires balls by having an HPA or CO2 pressure of 160 to 200 p.s.i. A regular Surprise SFT could be fired in four modes: semi-automatic, rebound, three-round burst and full automatic. The Surprise NXT has been around since 2006 being an upgrade towards the SFT. Although the two models share exactly the same fundamental specifications, procedures and internal components, a number of improvements were put into the NXT.

Ball Detents

Detents contain the paintball in place within the chamber before firing to help keep the paintball from moving forward in to the barrel. The detents within the Surprise SFT are detachable and ball-bearing operated. They're situated on both sides from the body under sticking out, round enclosures. Trigger

The Surprise SFT includes a standard pivot trigger that needs disassembly to regulate trigger pull and tension. The Surprise NXT includes a curler bearing trigger and exterior changes for trigger pull and tension.

Barrel

The Surprise SFT is threaded to simply accept Surprise barrels only. The Surprise NXT barrel includes a universal thread to support other Small Parts-model barrels, like the Impulse, Ion and Nerve.
